Authorities activated the search protocols to find the young man, who had been reported by his relatives as missing.
Troops of the Rainforest Battalion N.° 57, of the Eleventh Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the National Police, arrested two individuals who would be part of the Uldar Cardona Rueda Substructure, of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, who would have held a minor forcibly with the intention of recruiting him to join this criminal organization.
The operation, which was reported in Nechí, department of Antioquia, led to the arrest of these two men known as alias Jesús and alias Óscar, as well as the recovery of the minor, who had been convinced under deception to move to this municipality from Sahagún, department of Córdoba.
After about two days without knowing his whereabouts, the distraught relatives of the minor decided to report his disappearance on social media in the hope of finding him, and, in addition, informed the military unit about the situation.
Immediately, the authorities launched the search, which led to the rescue of the young man and the arrest of these two men in the municipality.
Those arrested were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office for the crime of using minors for crimes. For his part, the young man was received by the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute (ICBF), in order to restore his rights and return him to his home.
