This individual would be the mastermind and participant in the homicide committed against social leader María Molina, in Buenos Aires, in the municipality of San Pedro, in the department of Valle, in December 2021.
Troops of the Third Brigade, unit a of the Third Division of the National Army, in Operation Tormenta, in Los Bancos, municipality of Guadalajara, in Buga, Valle del Cauca, arrested in flagrante delicto the individual known as “Caiman,” accused of being a member of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, company Adán Izquierdo. This individual would be acting as ringleader of the networks of support to residual structures, in charge of the finances in this area.
Caiman was being required by the authorities for allegedly being the brain and accomplice to the murder committed against the social leader Mary Molina, in a commercial establishment in Buenos Aires, Valle del Cauca, in December of 2021, as well as being a partaker in the vehicle theft and criminal operations against companies in the Mining and Energy sectors. This arrest diminishes the criminal capacity of this structure in the municipalities of the center of the department.
At the time of his arrest, he was found with a 9 mm Smith & Wesson pistol, a 9 mm rifle magazine, 36 9 mm cartridges, pamphlets alluding to the residual Adán Izquierdo Organized Armed Group, one million pesos in cash, 42 extortion receipts with Adán Izquierdo Company logos and military material for the exclusive use of the Military Forces.
This arrested individual was put into custody of the authorities and will have to face charges of aggravated homicide, manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possessing firearms or ammunition.
