So far in 2023, soldiers of the Twelfth Brigade of the National Army have reported the finding of about 300 kilos of marijuana in the department.

In the course of search and control operations on the road that connects the department of Caquetá with the department of Huila, in the sector known as Las Garzas, soldiers of the Combat Engineer Battalion No. 12 of the National Army, in coordination with the National Police, reported the finding of more than 120 kilos of marijuana that were being transported in a private vehicle.

The incident was reported at a checkpoint. There, at the time of search conducted by one of our trained dogs the review of the car took place along with the items it was carrying, this search came out positive. The fabrics contained several blocks with the narcotic.

The military operation carried out within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan resulted in the finding of the hallucinogenic substance and an arrested person, who must answer to the authorities for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics.

In this way, the Twelfth Brigade of the Army deploys its Resources at the service of civilians to continue countering the factors of instability that disturb the security of the inhabitants of Caquetá, in order to continue working for the protection of the lives of children and adolescents; preventing that they become victims of the drug trafficking chain.
