The operation resulted in one death in the framework of military operations, three arrests and a minor recovered, in addition to the finding of a drone, with two rudimentary grenades, ready to be used and hit the soldiers conducting search and control tasks.
The operation took place at a time when the soldiers of the Ground Operations Battalion No. 18, Military Operations Command for Consolidation and Stabilization Zeus, of the Sixth Brigade, were carrying out territorial control tasks in the village of Cristales, in the village of Herrera, municipality of Rioblanco. There information was obtained on the activity of members of the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, frente Ismael Ruiz; subsequently, the fighting began and, thanks to the rapid and effective operation of the soldiers, it was possible to recover a minor, arrest three people, the death in the framework of military operations of an individual and the finding of abundant war material.
Among those arrested would be alias Willington, the main ringleader of this residual structure at the criminal service of Ivan Mordisco. It should be mentioned that this structure was in the department of Cauca, it was part of the Carlos Patiño Front group, and it would have received orders to arrive in Tolima to reform the criminal operations of the residual organized armed group Ismael Ruiz.
Among the material found there are 3 rifles, 17 magazines with 5.56 mm ammunition (approximately 698 cartridges), 95 detonators, 37 9 mm cartridges, 9 mm magazine, 85 7.62 mm cartridges, operations for explosive initiators 11, materials and military accessories for exclusive use of the Military Forces, communication radios, rudimentary grenade for drone and a drone.
Those arrested were put into custody of the authorities and the National Police, for the crimes of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying firearms and explosives, as well as for alleged association to commit crimes with clothes and uniforms or similar for the exclusive use of the Military Forces. The child was put under the protection of the ICBF.
