In the offensive search operations in the municipality of Ocaña, in the department of Norte de Santander, an improvised explosive device was found and the security protocols were put into practice, it was destroyed under controlled conditions by the Explosives and Demolitions Group of the Infantry Battalion No. 15, preventing collateral damage.
The device was prepared with approximately 15 kilos of explosive material, presumably by the company “Capitan Francisco Bossio” of the ELN, in this way, the soldiers of the Thirtieth Brigade, neutralized the intentions of the terrorists against the civilian population and the troops that provide security in this sector with military checkpoints.
Subsequently, a sweep was carried out to rule out the existence of more devices in the place, leading the community to continue with the free development of its activities.
