Meta. In a military operation carried out by soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No. 20 "General Roergas Serviez", in the area known as La Realidad, municipality of Mapiripán, department of Meta, a structure made of four rustic constructions was found. It was used by members of the organized armed group – GAO, Clan del Golfo for the production of cocaine hydrochloride.
Inside this laboratory, the troops found liquid precursors, 157 plastic barrels, four 200-liter barrels, four electric pumps, four washing machines, four microwave ovens, a communications radio, a compressor, a power regulator, an electricity generator, a refrigerator and a stove. The laboratory, as well as the material was destroyed in a controlled conditions by the military.
In this way, the Military Forces continue to conduct operations against drug trafficking of the organized armed groups that are financed from this illegal activity in the south east of Colombia.
