This illegal structure would produce about 200 million pesos per month, for the illicit income of the Organized Armed Group Structura Primera Armado Ríos.
Troops of the Twenty-Second Rainforest Brigade in compliance with the Ayacucho Plus campaign plan and within the framework of military operations permanently conducted against the factors of criminality in the department of Guaviare, with the support of the National Police and the River Battalion of the Navy Infantry No.32, find and dismantle a narcotics production laboratory.
The military operation was carried out in the sector known as Chaparral Bajo, municipality of El Retorno, Guaviare, when the soldiers received information about a suspected large structure for the production of drugs, which were in the same way generating serious environmental damage by the dumping of chemicals.
Approximately 3,500 liters of chemicals, 400 kilograms of coal, 50 kilograms of caustic soda, 50 kilograms of potassium permanganate, 155 gallons of acetone and other elements used for the production of narcotics were found by troops and destroyed at the site.
By means of this result the finances of the Organized Armed Group Structura Primera Armado Ríos are hit. In the area where the military operation took place, the troops are still searching for the criminals, with the aim of neutralizing their criminal intentions.
