This result undermines terrorist projections and intentions against civilians and Military Forces in the north of Cauca and the Departments of the south-west of the country.
In the framework of Operation Jos茅 Mar铆a C贸rdova, troops of the National Army, together with the Colombian Air Force and in coordination with the National Police, found an illegal hideout and a factory for the production of unconventional explosive devices that would belong to the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, Estructura Sexta Dagoberto Ramos Ortiz, in Northern Cauca.
This result is achieved thanks to the coordination and intelligence cooperation of the Military Forces, where material that was used for the preparation of about 500 explosive devices weekly, was seized.
With this finding it was possible to strategically hit its financial structure in more than 1,500 million pesos in elements, machinery and materials; these elements were financed by alias Mayimb煤 and alias David, main ringleaders of the criminal structure.
Troops confiscated elements for the manufacture of Explosive Ordnance, tubes for the manufacture of means of launching and anti-personnel mines, 56 improvised grenades, detonating cord, non-electric detonators, black powder, safety Wick, pentolite and 5,000 9 mm cartridges for traumatic pistol.
