The military operation against the Organized Armed Groups (GAO) is permanent in the northeastern Colombian territory.
Arauca. In the framework of the 'Diamante' Plan, Military Units of the Quirón Task Force deployed in Arauca continue to deal heavy blows that ostensibly weaken the criminal operations of the organized armed groups that commit crimes in this area of the country.
The troops discovered two illegal hideouts in the villages Galaxias and Caño Claro, municipality of Arauquita, respectively. They contained abundant war material that belonged to the residual GAO first structure and the ELN.
Troops found a Mini Uzi machinegun and 1,171 cartridges, weapons that would be used to intimidate different guilds in the region for economic purposes and attack on the good physical condition of the civilian population and members of the Public Force.
