Army neutralizes member of residual GAO in Arauca

Arauca.  Military operations carried out by the troops of the Quirón Task Force in the department of Arauca, led to achieve a heavy blow against the residual organized armed group substructure first, with the neutralization of one of its members.

 

The individual, who had in his possession a Galil rifle caliber 5.56 millimeters, a pistol 9 millimeters, two hand grenades IM 26, 10 magazines, 380 cartridges of different caliber, a radio scanner and a pixelated vest, moved along with five others men on three motorcycles in the village  El Palmar in the municipality of Puerto Rondón, when they were surprised by the soldiers of the 30th Ground Operations Battalion, which led to a firefight that resulted in the death of one of them .

 

The individual was known by the alias of "Peligro", he had 15 years of criminal experience, where he served as a guerrilla fighter and expert in explosives, participating in different terrorist attacks, including the capture of Caño Verde.

 

The authorities after being informed, carried out the urgent acts of removal of the body, and confiscation of the motorcycle and the war material.
