Two high-powered explosive devices were destroyed under controlled conditions by the Explosives and Demolitions special team, EXDE.
Troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No.3, of the National Army, thwarted a terrorist operation that was intended to be carried out by the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, in the urban area of the municipality of Hacarí, in Norte de Santander, against the Military Forces.
Thanks to the information provided by intelligence and the rapid operation of the soldiers, they find and later destroy the deadly traps, which had been planted on one of the main access roads to the municipality. However, due to the high explosive charge contained in the two devices, several houses in the area were hit.
The Second Division Rapid Deployment Force No.3 categorically rejects this criminal act planned by the terrorists of the organized armed groups, who with unconventional methods of war intended to attack the lives of the communities in the sector and the troops, in violation of international humanitarian law.
