The first exercise led by the commander of the National Army, Major General Luis Mauricio Ospina Gutiérrez, took place in the facilities of the Fortaleza building, in Bogotá, where the central level dependencies in charge of the administrative part of the institution are. High-level officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers and civilians who serve in sensitive areas were summoned there.

There were seven instruction modules that the participants had to pass, where issues related to corruption risks were discussed, where more than 46 issues were identified; the transparency line 152, where people can report anonymously; Ethics and transparency, DANTE Observatory, Social Networks, DANTE Standards and Principles and Values.

“The track of transparency, ethics and integrity is a pedagogical tool that leads to raise awareness among all the branch personnel and make visible what are the risks in corruption and mitigation measures. These clues will be found in the 26 Instruction and Training battalions nationwide, as well as in our officer and non-commissioned officer training school. There is an institutional commitment to zero tolerance for corruption, we are working day by day to improve our processes”, Colonel Jhon Jairo Henao Ospina, director of the Directorate for the Implementation of Transparency Standards of the National Army, affirmed.

This initiative has been conducting steadily in all jurisdictions at the national level and will remain in force as part of the institutional culture and policy during the training of officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers who are part of the institution.
