During a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Police, alias Cartucho, an alleged member of the Los Shottas faction of the La Local Organized Gang, was arrested in Buenaventura.
In compliance with a search warrant issued by the URI Prosecutor's Office of Buenaventura, crew members of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Colombian Navy and personnel of the Judicial Investigation Section - SIJIN (JUDICIAL POLICE) of the National Police, arrested in flagrante delicto this individual, who had in his possession a 38 mm caliber revolver, in a house in the locality 7 of the Special District.
According to preliminary information, alias Cartucho apparently would be an alleged zone chief of the Los Shottas and would be accused of carrying out criminal activities such as extortion, theft and kidnapping in locality 7.
The arrested man was put into custody of the URI Prosecutor's Office of Buenaventura, for prosecution, for the alleged crime of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.
