This woman, apparently, was in charge of entering the municipality of Mesetas, with logistics and war material of the residual armed group (GAO) Jorge Briceño Suarez, in order to commit criminal acts and terrorize the community. She in the same way informed the ringleaders of this criminal structure about the movements of the National Army troops in this area of the department of Meta.
In the operation against the criminal structures in the department of Meta, troops of the National Army in a military operation joint and coordinated with the National Police and the Air Force, by order of search-and-raid on a house in a rural area of the municipality Union, municipality of Mesetas, Meta, arrested a woman known by the alias of Monica, an alleged member of the residual armed group Jorge Briceno Suarez.
Thanks to several months of monitoring and military intelligence work, the authorities collect information and evidence that clarifies that alias Mónica, 30, in 2019 and 2020, was part of the support network of the Gao-r Structure 40.
In 2021, this woman committed crimes in the support network of the residual armed group Jorge Briceño Suarez, where she was apparently responsible for distributing to the community of the municipalities of Uribe and Mesetas, extortive and intimidating pamphlets, so that this criminal structure can exercise criminal control, in these sectors of Meta.
In the same way, it is presumed that alias Mónica, in coordination with alias Mechas, ringleader and extortionist of this Gao-r, who was arrested by the troops of the Seventh Brigade in March 2021, through threats caused the forced displacement of a person who is part of the process of reincorporation, as well as that of his family. At the time of the arrest, this person was illegally occupying the victim’s house.
The arrested woman was given to the Attorney General's Office and was prosecuted for the crime of forced displacement.
