As part of the subject of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, the Aspirants of the Naval Academy of Cadets 'Almirante Padilla' strengthen their training, through practical exercises such as human rights tracks.

Recently they made a dramatization, to strengthen good practices, on the study of the substantive and procedural part of the Ordinary Penal Code, Law 599 of 2000 and Law 1236 of 2008, on the punishable conducts related under the chapter of the Crimes against Freedom, Good health condition and Sexual health education. They also worked on the importance of the denunciations related to the military personnel under their command.

On this occasion, the exercise evaluated the reaction of students who act as military in a situation of aggression to minors of age in a security operation. They also prepared for apologies to the civilian population, the commitment to take the case to the courts and guarantee non-repetition.

The Colombian Navy is committed to the protection of Human Rights, that is why, through the Naval Academy of Cadets 'Almirante Padilla', pedagogical operations are carried out that help the successful decision making of the officers of the future in the exercise of their duty, respecting the rights of the people.
