The finding of this shipment prevented the circulation and consumption of 350 thousand doses of cocaine internationally.

In security operations for international trade in the Colombian Pacific, the Colombian Navy, in coordination with the National Police and port authorities, managed to detect and find a shipment of 140 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride inside a container that had as its next destination Central America.

The operation carried out with information provided by Colombian Navy intelligence, led members of the Buenaventura Coast Guard Station and members of the Anti-Narcotics Police, to conduct the physical inspection, and with canine binomials, of the container that was on a ship. During the search, three black briefcases with 140 rectangular packages, similar to those used by drug trafficking organizations to send narcotic substances abroad, were detected.

Once the Preliminary Identification Test was Approved – PIPH by the Judicial Police, the substance found in the packages tested positive for cocaine hydrochloride.

This shipment of narcotics would cost close to five million dollars, money that thanks to the decisive operation of the Military Forces will not enter the finances of organized armed groups, with criminal interference in the central Pacific region.

In the same way, with the finding of the illegal merchandise, the Colombian Navy and the National Police prevented the circulation of 350 thousand doses of cocaine internationally, mitigating the public health problems generated by drug consumption in the world.
