Funcionarios del Servicio Nacional de Fronteras de Panamá, reportaron el hallazgo de documentación que pertenecería a tripulaciones del buque CARMEN I.
Los documentos fueron ubicados en la costa de Colón, por un nativo quien dio aviso a la autoridad del material documental. A su vez, fueron hallados en altamar unos termos, reportados dentro del manifiesto de carga de la embarcación, sin que está allá sido ubicada.
La Armada de Colombia continúa con sus unidades en la búsqueda de los 10 tripulantes, labor que se realiza en coordinación con Panamá. Mientras que la Dirección General Marítima a través de la Capitanía de Puerto de Cartagena, adelanta la investigación jurisdiccional pertinente, para determinar las circunstancias de tiempo, modo y lugar, en que se presentaron los hechos que involucran a la motonave.
La Institución Naval completa 13 días de intensa búsqueda en el Caribe colombiano y no ahorrará esfuerzos logísticos y humanos que permitan establecer la ubicación de las personas desaparecidas.
