"Walking together we go further", it was the premise of the Second Binational Activity of Support for the Development Colombia - Brazil carried out in the imposing Amazonas region, in which more than 2,500 people benefited from specialized medical services in Leticia and Tabatinga.
The two nations received the best human resources in their territory to carry out the activities that shaped the activity, thus, in the cities of Leticia (Colombia) and Tabatinga (Brazil), an unprecedented deployment was carried out with the participation of professionals from various health specialties, in an effort led by the Amazonas Air Group of the Colombian Air Force with the Twenty Sixth Brigade of the National Army, the Coast Guard Command of the Amazonas, coordinated with the National Police and combined with the Battalion of Jungle Infantry No. 8 Solim玫es of the Brazilian Army and the Navy of Brazil.
The inhabitants could access general medicine, optometry, pediatrics, urology, physiotherapy, dermatology, dentistry, among others. Health at all levels constitutes one of the fundamental pillars in the human being and therefore, the consolidation of the wellbeing of a society. In the same way, a service fair was arranged and it counted on informative checkpoints of institutions providing health, educational and labor services.
"Today is not just any day in the Amazonas, it is a day in which all State institutions join hands for the wellbeing of the region," said Colonel Osman Eucardo Gonz谩lez Ortiz at the opening ceremony, where the networks of institutional support were essential for the success of the activity.
Thanks to the Ministry of National Defense, the Government of the Amazonas, the Leticia City Hall, the Amazonas Sin L铆mites Foundation, the Manos Pintadas de Azul Foundation, the Official Professionals of the Reserve and the Social action of Our Lady of Loreto section, CAMAN, it was possible that more than 2,500 people freely access the services.
