Four cylindrical metal parasite containers that were hidden in a merchant ship destined for Guatemala were found by troops belonging to the Coast Guard Station of Buenaventura of the Pacific Naval Force.

The result comes in the frame of security operations on international trade procedures carried out in the Colombian Pacific, in coordination with maritime cargo transport companies in the region. On this occasion, through the use of diver inspectors, the devices in which were transported 86.9 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, which cost approximately 2.9 million dollars in the illegal market were found.

During the operation it was possible to determine that the boat was transporting the parasites from a long time ago, according to the characteristics and conditions of deterioration of the devices in which the drug was stored. In the same way, in the framework of international cooperation and the fight against transnational crimes, information will be provided to identify the origin of the drug.
