Hundreds of inhabitants of Buenaventura gathered at the emblematic Cathedral of San Buenaventura for the official launch of the campaign "Buenaventura Siembra Esperanza Limpia y Bonita", led by the Navy of Colombia and the Mayor's Office of Buenaventura.

With the firm intention of changing the face of the city, with the conviction that the union and commitment of the people can make the main port of Buenaventura a beautiful and attractive place for its inhabitants and tourism, the Infantry Brigade of Navy No.2, of the Pacific Naval Force, together with the City Hall, have been working together and in a sustained manner for more than three months, with different guilds and representative groups.

To execute this campaign, the Marine Infantry Brigade No.2 has managed a series of resources with the different guilds of the city, to realize the project that began last April, with the work on a part of the boulevard in front of to the facilities of the Buenaventura duty Free Zone, a public space that was recovered and transformed with the planting of more than 20 thousand plants and the installation of 50 flags with the national Tricolor.

During the activity there was the participation of local artists such as Sidney Arce and Paola Pechene, as well as civil and military authorities.
