Campaign conducted by the Military Forces to prevent forced recruitment in Caquetá

In the municipality of Solano, in the department of Caquetá, children received a talk by Air Combat Command No.6, CACOM 6, through a campaign conducted by the Military Forces, with the purpose of preventing the forced recruitment of minors.

The children of the Campo Elías Marulanda School received the military, who distributed the campaign flyers to report these illegal activities to the telephone number 3132157703, a line that is inn service 24 hours a day.

The Air Force is carrying out these campaigns to prevent the recruitment of children and adolescents in the department of Caquetá, who according to information provided by the Ombudsman's Office are obliged to carry out illegal operations such as trafficking or micro-trafficking of illicit substances, extortion, hiring and logistical support activities, among others.

There are several risk factors that favor the recruitment of minors, such as ignorance, lack of information, family violence, presence of illegal armed actors, development of illegal economic activities and forced displacement. This is why the CACOM 6 invites the community of Solano to denounce any activity related to those crimes to prevent the child population from becoming a victim.

The activity in the same way counted on the National Army and the National Navy, who in a joint work with the Air Force conducted a conference, seeking to build trust and get closer to the people, reminding them that the telephone number is on the distributed flyer.
