Norte de Santander. In the middle of the Operation 'Arturo', framed in the 'Diamante' Plan, in the hamlet Playa Cotiza, in the municipality of El Tarra, Norte de Santander, it was possible to capture three individuals, among them, alias 'Brayan', head of 'finances' delegate for the frontier area of the north-eastern war front of the ELN.
The result was obtained by troops of the Vulcano Task Force, attached to the Second Division, of the Anti-Narcotrafficking Brigade of the Aviation and Air Assault Division of the National Army, in conjunction with the Air Combat Command No. 1, the Colombian Air Force and the National Police.
Alias 'Brayan', was member of that structure since 2006, where he started as a guerrilla fighter, then, for his criminal capacity, in 2017, he was appointed as head of 'finances' for the border area, where he carried out self-financing activities related to drug trafficking, extortion and contraband, as he supported the Northeast war front of the Organized Armed Group (GAO) of the ELN. With this capture it is possible to hit the capacity of strengthening of the finances and future criminal and terrorist plans of this GAO in the Catatumbo region.
At the time of the capture, alias 'Brayan' and the two individuals accompanying him had in their possession four 9 mm caliber pistols, seven magazines for that pistol, 131 units of 9 mm caliber ammunition, four hand grenades, accessories alluding to the GAO - Eln and communications equipment. The individuals and the materials were put into custody of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office 132, where the respective judicial process will continue.
