This man, 27, is said to commit several crimes in the area of Puerto Wilches, in the department of Santander.
The military operation conducted by troops of the Artillery Battalion of Campaign No. 2 of the Fifth Brigade, organic of the Second Division, executed within the Plan Diamante II in conjunction with the National Navy and in coordination with the National Police, led to the capture of alias 'El Doctor', leader of the terrorist support networks of the front “Luis José Solano Sepúlveda” of the Organized Armed Group Eln, in the municipality of Puerto Wilches, in the department of Santander.
Alias 'El Doctor' had been in the organization for three years and he was in the same way in charge of collecting extortion payments from farmers, ranchers and merchants in the region, as well as other financial and criminal activities.
Within his criminal profile, he accumulated illicit money from drug trafficking, illegal mining and extortion, acquisition of weapons and explosive materials and the planning of terrorist operations against the Security forces and State infrastructure.
This capture directly hits the “Luis José Solano Sepúlveda structure” of the GAO Eln and confirms the commitment of the Multi mission Heroes of the Fifth Brigade to guarantee security and tranquility to all the inhabitants of the region, neutralizing in a timely manner the criminal act of the outlaw armed groups.
