In the execution of the Bicentenary Plan, through a joint and interagency operation, troops of the Artillery Battalion of Campaign No.2 of the Fifth Brigade, of the Second Division, the National Navy and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office, capture alias 'Pocho', presumed member of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The event occurred in the Puente Sogamoso sector, in the municipality of Puerto Wilches, in the department of Santander, where thanks to the Civic Participation Network, it was possible to establish the whereabouts of this individual, who at the time of his capture carried a revolver and tried to bribe the non-commissioned officer who had detained him.
Alias 'Pocho', 33, had 10 years in the substructure “Luis Alfonso Echavarría” of the GAO “Clan del Golfo”. He was the right hand of alias 'Silva', currently in charge of the collection of extortions in Barrancabermeja, Puerto Wilches and Sabana de Torres.
The man was put into custody of the authorities and now he must face charges for the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crime, manufacture, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition and bribery.
