In the urban area of the municipality of Lejan铆as, troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Ariari, captured two individuals, presumed perpetrators of the murder of the leader of the Patriotic Union Party, Jefferson Ar茅valo Robayo, in Puerto Rico, in the department of Meta.
Through an interinstitutional operation, troops of the Seventh Brigade along with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, captured alias 'Goyo' and another individual, identified as responsible for the murder of Jefferson Ar茅valo Robayo, leader of the Patriotic Union party, last August 23 in the department of Meta.
These individuals, according to information, broke into the farm known as Los Cruces, in the village El Danubio, in the municipality of Puerto Rico, where they had kidnapped the social leader, Jefferson Ar茅valo, who was later found without life near that farm. They also left his wife wounded.
These individuals must face charges for the crimes of aggravated homicide and violation to Specialized Public Prosecutor's Office of Villavicencio.
The Seventh Brigade committed to the community and social leaders of the department of Meta managed to find the whereabouts of those responsible for the murder of this social leader, handing them over to the authorities. Troops will always work to capture the individuals who attempt against the people.
