In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan ‘Heroes Of Freedom' , troops of the Joint Task Force Hercules in coordination with the National Police, capture seven alleged members of the residual organized armed group ‘Los contadores’ in the municipality Vaquerio, of the municipality of Tumaco, in Nariño.
The action took place when the units of the Jungle Battalion N.53 fought with the individuals after conducting a search operation, which according to intelligence information placed the men in a house in the sector. In the event, one of the members of the structure was wounded and was immediately taken by the troops to the Tumaco Hospital.
The other six individuals were taken to the municipality of Tumaco and were put into custody of the authority.
During the operation it was in the same way possible to find three rifles, four pistols, a revolver, seven hand grenades, 18 magazines, ammunition of different calibers, and communications equipment and cash.
