These men would be in charge of attacking members of the security forces in the north of the department of Cauca.
In compliance with the Cauca 2021 Strategy and through military intelligence activities, in the municipality of Huasanó, in Caloto, Cauca, troops of the National Army neutralized two members of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Dagoberto Ramos Ortiz, who would serve as snipers of this illegal group, in the service of alias Whiskey and alias Toro, ringleaders of the group.
This result was obtained under the pressure of the troops, after fighting with members of this GAO-r, where it was in the same way possible to find a sniper rifle, a Fall rifle, a short weapon, 7.62 caliber ammunition, a fragmentation grenade, field lens, military accessories material, bracelets alluding to the group and documents of interest to military intelligence.
It should be noted that, in the year 2021, the National Army, in its military operation in this area of the department of Cauca, has neutralized the threat of eight members of this residual structure, including alias Jhoncito, head of finance; alias Camisa and alias Yiyo, weakening the armed arm and the combative power of this organized residual armed group.
