This laboratory had the capacity to produce four tons of cocaine hydrochloride per month, valued at about 5,000 million pesos.
As part of the Ayacucho Campaign Plan and Operation Catatumbo, National Army troops found and dismantled a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory in the village of San Miguel Encerraderos, municipality of Sardinata, Department of Norte de Santander. This result represents a significant impact on the finances of the organized armed groups that commit crimes in the region.
The military operation carried out by soldiers of the 30th Artillery Battalion, in coordination with the National Police, led to the destruction of four structures along with more than 500 gallons of suspended cocaine hydrochloride and approximately 303 kilos of cocaine, more than 6600 gallons of liquid supplies and more than 800 kilos of solid supplies.
In the same way, a distillation tower, microwave ovens, compressors, tanks, containers, metal molds, hydraulic press, plastic and adhesive stamps, a power generator and several precision scales were destroyed in controlled conditions.
