Colombian Aerospace Force leads the search for the missing aircraft in Antioquia

The Colombian Aerospace Force, FAC, is carrying out a search and rescue mission for the Cessna 402 type aircraft, with registration HK 2522, which disappeared over the municipalities of Betulia and Urrao in the department of Antioquia while covering the Juradó - Medellín route and which lost communication with air traffic control on Wednesday, January 8 in the afternoon.

Thanks to the coordination with the National Personnel Recovery Center, CENRP, the Colombian Air Force through the Air Combat Command No. 5, sent a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter to carry out this search mission in the delimited area.

In the same way, the operation is being carried out inter-institutionally with the Civil Aeronautics, relief agencies and local authorities of the department, including the Antioquia Risk Management Directorate, DAGRAN, who have made their resources available to find the aircraft, eight passengers and two crew members.
