The Air Combat Command No.6 carried out a seed launch as a pilot plan Entrega Verde (Green distribution), a project that consists of a large-scale assisted natural restoration, through the resources of the Colombian Air Force.
On this occasion a Huey-II helicopter and its crew carried on board more than 6,000 seeds, of a typical tree of the south-west of the country, which were launched in a certain area for study at the facilities of the Air Combat Command No.6.
This study will determine the reliability and efficiency of the seed release in order to restore deforested areas hit by this problem that in recent years has harmed our Colombian jungle.
The Colombian Air Force will protect natural resources, and will continue to work for the environment and the Amazonas region of our country.
