Colombian army and Ecuadorian army counteract drug trafficking activities

The joint, coordinated and combined operation was carried out in the Dios Peña village of the municipality of San Miguel in the department of Putumayo.

 

Troops of the Sixth Division, the Twenty-Seventh Brigade, the Ground Operations Battalion No.20 and the Army of Ecuador with troops of the Jungle Brigade No. 19 'Napo', Special Forces Group No. 53 'Rayo', with the Air Force Combat Command No. 6 and in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Police, carried out a combined operation to combat and attack on the center of gravity of illicit drug trafficking activities on the San Miguel River, in Putumayo

 

This work results in the destruction of a laboratory of Cocaine Hydrochloride, made of several structures and elements necessary for the transformation of Coca Base Paste into Cocaine Hydrochloride.

 

Troops found acetone, hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, activated carbon, calcium chloride and machinery and elements sufficient to process 300 to 500 kilos of coca per week for commercialization and export.
