These people, apparently, would be related to the recent criminal acts that occurred in the rural area of the municipality of Nariño.
Troops of the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Oriente Group of the Fourth Brigade of Colombian National Army engaged a combat against alleged members of a mixed group of the residual organized armed group (GAO-r) Structure 36 and the GAO Clan del Golfo de Oriente organized gang, in the village El Recreo, municipality of Nariño, department of Antioquia.
During this military operation, the death of five alleged members of this illegal group was reported in the framework of military operations, among whom would be alias Rigo or Farley, who would be in command of these men and would be in charge of the hitmen and the collection of money from extortion in the region.
According to preliminary information, these individuals would allegedly be involved in the murder of a 13-year-old minor that occurred last October 2025 in the village La Balsora; the Government of Antioquia provided up to 500 million pesos reward for information on the whereabouts of those responsible for this unfortunate event.
In the same way, they would be responsible for generating intimidation to the inhabitants of the village El Recreo by means of shots in the air, as well as threats against the administrator of a gasoline station, due to refusing to pay money.
These criminal operations would have caused the displacement of several inhabitants of this area of the department.
The individuals would in the same way be related to the murder of the merchant and former councilman Luis Fernando Ocampo, reported last November in a rural area of this municipality.
Military intelligence information led to establish that alias Camila, arrested in July 2023 by troops of the Fourth Brigade in the municipality of San Rafael, would be the one who allegedly directed and coordinated the criminal alliances of this group from a prison.
It is important to mention that this illegal group had already carried out criminal operations in previous years against the inhabitants, such as homicides, an armed strike that forced merchants to close their businesses, among other illegal activities that altered law and order in the region.
In addition to the neutralizations, it was possible to find abundant war materiel, military accessory material, explosives and information relevant to military intelligence.
