This team was the only one in Latin America to attend the international sports competition held in Germany. The coffee team is composed of military personnel wounded in combat.

… to face the impossible: Will.

With the joy and pride of the warriors, the members of the team return home, after sweating every last drop to reach the top of the podium, the members of the delegation that represented the country at the Invictus Games Foundation, held in Dusseldorf, Germany, arrived in Colombia.

More than 50 medals were won by the coffee athletes, who wore the Colombian tricolor with honor in the different disciplines in which they competed against athletes from 21 countries in North America and Europe.

The members of the coffee team, were the only representatives for South America in this contest that seeks to exalt the strength, overcoming and resilience of men and women with some kind of physical disability.

The Colombian competitors, mostly members of the Military Forces, injured in the framework of operations that seek to raise the security and well-being of the different municipalities and villages of the country.

53 medals (23 gold, 18 Silver and 12 bronze) were achieved in disciplines such as field and track athletics (100, 200, 400 and 1500 meters flat) shot put and discus throw, swimming, cycling and table tennis and sitting volleyball.

This is a worthy example to show that there are no barriers when the mind is stronger than the limitations. Athletes know it … to face the impossible: will.
