More than 100 soldiers have been sent into the village Lejan铆as.
Within stability operations framed in the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan and in order to work to increase the protection for the inhabitants, the Fourteenth Brigade, began its military operation in the village of Lejan铆as, municipality of Remedios, in Antioquia.
Approximately 120 soldiers have already been sent to the sector with the mission of countering the criminal operations of the Organized Armed Groups, GAOs, in the sector, especially the GAO ELN and GAO Clan del Golfo, who use this territory as a mobility route, generating fear and anxiety in the inhabitants.
In the same way, and through these military operations, the soldiers will be providing accompaniment to the inhabitants, working for raising the free mobility.
Colombian National Army reiterates its commitment to contribute to the stabilization of the Northeast of Antioquia, working with respect for human rights and acting under the provisions of international humanitarian law.
