Under Colombian National Army's Ayacucho Plan, troops of Military Police Battalion No.15, of the Thirteenth Brigade, in a coordinated work with the Metropolitan Police of Bogot谩 and the Sectional Prosecutor's Office of Bogot谩, 18 firearms and traumatic weapons were found in the locality of Usme.
Thanks to the investigative and judicial work of the authorities, two raids were carried out in that locality in the south of Bogot谩, where 4 firearms and 14 airsoft rifles and more than 160 cartridges of different calibers were found by troops; those elements would be used to extort money from merchants in the sector.
In the same way, more than 200 million pesos were found by troops in cash, 2 grams, 2 presses and 1 sack with ziploc bags to dose narcotics.
During the military operation, a man was arrested for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possessing firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition and trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics; now he continues with the corresponding judicial processes with the Attorney General's Office.
With this coordinated and inter-institutional operation, the illegal finances of the organized crime groups that commit crimes in the city of Bogot谩 are being hit.
In this way, the troops of the Thirteenth Brigade, a unit of the Fifth Division of Colombian National Army, reaffirm their commitment to the security of Bogot谩 and the department of Cundinamarca.
