Last January 14 night, a vegetation cover fire was reported at the San Juanito crossing, municipality of Fomeque, Cundinamarca.
As part of the National System for Risk Management, the Brigade of Engineers for Disaster Care and Prevention arrived in the area in order to support the efforts to extinguish the fire that is hitting part of the departments of Cundinamarca and Meta.
Rescue soldiers, using drones, check hot spots to determine the damages and, in coordination with the other institutions that help to face the emergency, distribute the tasks that neutralized the fire.
It should be noted that this is an area of difficult access, high thermal load and heavy winds that make control tasks difficult, so another unit is already being prepared in case its intervention is sought.
