The military operation of Colombian National Army to combat the problem of drug trafficking in the department of Antioquia territory continues.
In the village of La Holanda, municipality of Girardota, troops of the Combat Engineer Battalion N.掳 4, of the Fourth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the National Police, reported the finding and destruction of a laboratory for the conversion of coca base paste into cocaine hydrochloride.
Thanks to this military operation, members of the Military Forces found 100 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, more than 720 kilograms of solid supplies, about 5,000 liters of liquid supplies, a firearm, cartridges of different calibers, a 20-ton press, 2 grams, 3 microwaves and a dryer at the scene.
Through this result, the financial structure of the organized crime group Los Mesa is significantly hit, with losses estimated at approximately 1,300 million pesos, since the laboratory had the capacity to produce about 250 kilograms of the drug per week.
During the military operation, an individual in flagrante delicto was arrested, who, apparently, would be a member of the GAO-r E36, an illegal armed group that would be financially linked to the Los Mesa gang.
Colombian National Army continues to carry out military operations to counter the illegal activities of organized armed groups, reaffirming its commitment to the security and tranquility of the inhabitants of the department of Antioquia.
