Troops of the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats (CONAT) found a megalaboratory made up of seven structures, used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride by a criminal actor linked to the residual GAO Structure 48, Comandos de Frontera.
The operation was carried out in the village of Puerto Bello, municipality of Valle del Guamuez, inj the department of Putumayo, and represents a blow to the illicit activities of this group for an approximate cost of 9.2 million dollars.
Soldiers of the Anti-Drug Trafficking Battalion, with the support of the Judicial Police (DIRAN), found the coca-growing complex where 1405 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 15,510 gallons of liquid supplies, 250 kilograms of solid supplies and different hardware used in the production of the drug were found by troops.
By means of this result, it was possible to significantly damage the resource subsystem of this criminal organization, in more than 38,000 million pesos.
Colombian National Army continues to deploy all its resources of the military operation throughout the length and breadth of Colombian territory, to counter drug trafficking, the main source of financing for illegal armed structures, and thus contribute to the tranquility and well-being of the inhabitants.
