Within the framework of Operation Catatumbo, an alleged member of the Residual Organized Armed Group, Structure GAO-r, Structure 33, voluntarily surrendered to Colombian National Army.
The man who claimed to belong to the residual GAO, E33 for four years contacted with the troops of the Vulcano Task Force, saying that he was injured.
Once the relevant review took place, coordination was carried out to provide humanitarian aid for the patients at the military unit.
At the scene, when providing support to the individual, it was established that he had two firearm impacts, one in a hand and one in a leg. The military personnel stabilized him and transferred him to the medical clinic of the Vulcano Task Force, thus emphasizing the conviction of maintaining respect for life and strict compliance with international humanitarian law.
At the time of the surrender, the individual handed over a rifle, a pistol and a magazine; materials that were put into custody of the authority.
