The soldiers came to the aid of several families who were damaged by a landslide in Fusagasugá.

Soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No.39 Sumapaz in a coordinated work with the Network of Allies of the region, reached the Villa de la Esperanza neighborhood in the Bajo Cucharal sector, of the municipality of Fusagasugá, to provide support to several families hit by the wave of rains.

A landslide occurred in the sector and caused the structural failure of five houses that suffered serious damages and had to be evacuated urgently to avoid putting the lives of their inhabitants at risk. Our soldiers helped the families to leave quickly and also worked on the extraction of the belongings and food that were still in good condition.

Similarly, soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No.28 Colombia, provided humanitarian support to another group of families the Gaitan neighborhood in the municipality of Viotá, who were also victims of the inclement weather, which these days damages much of the department of Cundinamarca.

The National Army, through the Thirteenth Brigade, is ready 24 hours a day to provide support for any type of eventuality that arises in the area of responsibility, either in security matters or as in this case in emergency care due to natural causes.
