Troops of the Seventh Brigade, within the tasks of protecting the strategic resources of the nation, within the framework of a military operation thwart the intention of five criminals.
The theft of copper hits the petroleum production and the economy of an entire country; therefore, Colombian National Army in its constitutional mission will in the same way provide security for the construction of this industry in the department of Meta, mainly in Puerto Gaitán.
It was in the populated center of the Oasis, where the troops conducting checkpoints, identified five criminals who hours earlier had allegedly gagged and tied up workers of this industry to commit the felony.
The individuals were traveling in a white van that was put into custody of the authority, as well as the material found and those arrested.
In this way, Colombian National Army counteracts the illegal activities that aim to disturb the tranquility of the region and maintain territorial control of the department of Meta, and works for the well-being of the inhabitants of Meta.
