The two people were hiding in a neighborhood of the municipality of Planadas, waiting for the soldiers to voluntarily surrender.
Soldiers of the Ground Operations Battalion Nº 18, of the Military Operations Command for Consolidation and Stabilization Zeus of the Sixth Brigade, arrive at a sector of the municipality of Planadas. There, a dissident of the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Ismael Ruiz voluntarily surrendered, where it was in the same way possible to recover a minor of the department of Cauca.
With the sole purpose of living a peaceful life with his loved ones, the individual decided to surrender to justice according to the legal procedure, while the recovered minor was left under the protection of the ICBF.
In this result of the military operation, it was possible to find a handgun, two magazines and ammunition that the man who voluntarily surrendered was carrying.
During the year, the Sixth Brigade of Colombian National Army has recovered 18 minors of the ranks of the Iván Mordisco dissidents group in Cauca, respecting their rights with the support of Family Wellbeing and the Ombudsman's Offices, within the framework of respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
