Colombian Navy accompanies land restitution process

Armada de Colombia acompaña proceso de restitución de tierras

The Naval Institution has carried out 341 accompaniments to the Land Restitution Unit in several municipalities of the departments of Bolívar, Córdoba and Sucre.

 

This operation is carried out within the framework of Law 1448 of 2011, which is about Victims and Land Restitution.

 

The Colombian Navy through the tactical units of the Navy Infantry Brigade No.1, has carried out in 2024 341 accompaniments professes to the Land Restitution Unit, an institution in charge of the legal procedures to restore and formalize lands in favor of the victims of the armed conflict.

 

The Naval Institution carries out this operation in fulfillment of its mission to protect the inhabitants, their property and honor, as well as the resources of the State in the areas under its responsibility, generating the security conditions sought for the implementation of this Law.

 

These accompaniments were carried out in the municipalities of Arroyo Hondo, Calamar, Carmen de Bolívar, Córdoba, El Guamo, Mahates, María La Baja, San Estanislao, San Jacinto, San Juan Nepomuceno, Sopla Viento, Turbana, Villanueva and Zambrano in the department of Bolívar. In the same way, in the municipalities of Betulia, Chalán, Colosó, Corozal, Galeras, Los Palmitos, Morroa, Ovejas, Sincelejo, San Antonio de Palmito, San Pedro and Toluviejo, in the department of Sucre and in the municipality of Moñitos – Córdoba.
