In a joint operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Army, it was possible to capture the presumed responsible for ending the lives of two officials of the National Protection Unit - UNP, in the department of Choc贸.

The operation was carried out in the municipality of Vig铆a Curbarad贸, in the department of Choc贸, where troops of the Colombian Navy and the Titan Task Force of the National Army arrived, achieving the capture of Yonairo Antonio Pe帽a Bautista, alleged member of the Organized Armed Group, GAO Clan del Golfo, who would be the murderer of two officials of the National Protection Unit - UNP, on November 10, in that department.

During the same military operation, a significant amount of war material was found, including a 5.56 mm caliber rifle with a silencer, more than 230 5.56 mm cartridges, as well as communications equipment such as a laptop and satellite radios, as well as a kilogram of coca base paste.

The man together with the materials were put into custody of the authorities.

The Colombian Navy will continue to conduct operations that led to the capture of members of the Organized Armed Groups that attack against the good physical condition of the inhabitants of the Colombian Caribbean; it also invites the community to report any type of suspicious activity that puts life and security in the region at risk.
