Units of the Navy of Colombia, in coordination with the National Police, found 90 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, aboard a Belgian-flagged sailboat, sailing in the waters of the Magdalena Department.

In a Maritime Interdiction operation, Coast Guard Rapid Reaction Units conducted the inspection of the sailboat 'Campeador', which was detected by the Maritime Patrol ship of the Navy of Colombia ARC 803, while covering the route Cartagena - Cuba, without the required documentation, so it was taken along with its crew to the Coast Guard Station of Barranquilla, where an anti-narcotics dog found four sacks containing 100 rectangular packages, with what appeared to be narcotic substances.

Personnel of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office carried out the Preliminary Initial Test - Piph, leaving positive for 90 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 10 of packages resulted negative for hallucinogens.

The drug and the two crew members of the ship, one of them of Mexican nationality, were put into custody of the authorities for their prosecution.
