Colombian Navy and Police find more than one hundred kilograms of cocaine in Barranquilla

cgfm-incautacion-100-kilos-cocaina.jpg

In recent hours, the Colombian Navy through the Coast Guard Units of Barranquilla and members of the National Police find 106 kilograms of cocaine that were camouflaged aboard the cargo ship "Monterey Bay", from Great Britain, which would have sailed from a port in Brazil bound for Rio Haina in the Dominican Republic.

The result occurred during permanent security operations, where the units of the Naval Institution and Police units carried out the rigorous inspection, finding one of the wineries the three s sacks that stored 110 pressed packages containing the illegal substance

Once found, the authorities carried out the Preliminary Initial Test Homologated - PIPH, managing to determine that it was high purity cocaine.

This successful result is achieved thanks to the coordinated work conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Police in the fight against transnational threats and organized crime.

With this finding it was prevented that more than 3.5 million dollars, value of the drug in the international black market, would enter the financial structures of drug trafficking organizations that commit crimes in the Colombian Caribbean.
