As part of a military area control operation, units of the Colombian Navy, in coordination with the National Police, arrested alias Cleto, the ringleader of an armed component in the La Mojana Sucre subregion.
Troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Sucre, attached to the Navy Infantry Brigade No.1, with the support of officials of the Judicial and Criminal Investigation - SIJIN (JUDICIAL POLICE) Section of the National Police, found this individual on the public highway of the municipality of Majagual – Sucre, who apparently was working as the right-hand man of alias Roberto or Bula, the main ringleader of the Uldar Cardona Rueda substructure of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
According to the investigations, alias Cleto would have coordinated the so called Plan Pistola against members of the security forces of the National Police in the department of Sucre and would be accused of extorting money of productive groups in the region and executing homicides in the urban and rural areas of the municipalities of Majagual and Guaranda in Sucre Department.
This individual had an arrest warrant issued by the Municipal Criminal Court of Sincelejo for the crimes of manufacturing and illegal carrying of firearms or ammunition. During his arrest in flagrante delicto, a revolver, 13 38 mm caliber cartridges and a cell phone were seized.
