The Colombian Navy in coordination with the National Police announced the arrest alias Mosquito, a member of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, in San Onofre, department of Sucre, and who is part of the list of the most wanted of the department of Bolivar.
The individual would be the ringleader of the Substructure Heroes del Caribe in María La Baja, would be responsible for expediting the criminal activities of the last days in that municipality, as the alleged organizer and perpetrator in the burning of vehicles, temporary or permanent obstruction of roads, constraint by arms absent merchants and operations that were attacking against human life, public health, food security, the environment, and the right to work of the inhabitants of the area. In the same way, within the criminal organization, he created areas to strengthen his capacity in drug trafficking, microtrafficking and self-sustaining activities such as extortion of money from ranchers and merchants.
The arrest was carried out in compliance with a court order issued by the specialized Prosecutor's Office 155 of Barranquilla, for the alleged crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes, homicide, trafficking, manufacture or carrying of narcotic substances, manufacture trafficking or carrying firearms or ammunition and extortion.
The individual was taken to the police station for arrest legalization procedures and to be put into custody of the Attorney General's Office.
