The Colombian Navy with the purpose of integrating the resources of the Military Forces into the Unified State operation effort and thanks to the support provided by the private sector, distributed more than 180 food kits in rural areas of the departments of Sucre and Bolivar.

The humanitarian aid donated by the Fundaci贸n Telef贸nica Colombia, from Bogot谩, was received and taken by crew of the Navy Infantry Brigade No.1 in the municipalities of Mampujancito and San Pablo, in the municipality of Mar铆a la Baja, Bol铆var and to the municipalities of Yeso and Victoria in the municipality of Morroa, Sucre.

The crew of the Naval Institution, the Marina Stereo radio Station and the Professional Officers of the Sucre Naval Reserve, overcoming the difficult conditions of the access roads and the adversities of the weather, in an operation, took the kits to go door to door visiting 180 vulnerable families with these food baskets that contained basic products of the family basket.

Thanks to this coordinated work, it was possible to benefit nearly 800 low-income people, mitigating their basic needs and guaranteeing food security and well-being for these communities in the Montes de Mar铆a subregion, which have been hit by the health emergency caused by the covid-19.
