Units of the Colombian Navy in maritime control operations find 197 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, on board an unnamed boat, which was abandoned by its crew in a mangrove sector of the Bay of Barbacoas, Cartagena, Bolivar.

Coast Guard crew find the abandoned boat with 360 gallons of gasoline inside, which was taken to the Coast Guard Station of Cartagena where a detailed inspection was carried out by the Colombian Navy in coordination with the DIJIN units of the National Police.

After cutting the fiberglass structure of the ship, 197 rectangular packages of illicit substance were found by troops in the modified spaces of the structure.

The personnel of the Judicial Police carried out the approved preliminary identification test –PIPH-, leaving a positive result for 197 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.

The material found is estimated to cost close to seven million dollars (USD 7,000,000), in the illegal market; a figure that, thanks to the decisive operation of the Coast Guard units will not enter the finances of transnational criminal organizations.
